Suffolk County Driver's Ed



Today we first read "The Pied Piper", the famous German fairy tale, as the English writer Robert Browning. This is the one construction in cartoons.



The best known version of this story is that of the Brothers Grimm , which you can read here . You will see that the ending is different than the version of Browning.
The origin of this tale is steeped in mystery, but the possibility exists that at the heart of the story there is a true story - during the Middle Ages - in the German town of Hamelin . Read more You can read the wikipedia page on the Pied Piper of Hamelin .
